NSW state government has categorised remedial massage as an essential service under healthcare, permitting remedial massage clinics to continue to operate.
However, we treat the spread of COVID-19 very seriously. Our current hygiene safety practices that have always been in place are listed below. Extra measures we will be taking during the Coronavirus pandemic to ensure our clients and our therapists are as safe as possible when receiving treatment at Your Massage Double Bay are also listed below.
Our current hygiene measures include single use linen for every client. All of our sheets, pillowcases, face cradle covers, face cradle protectors and towels are used only once for each person and then either disposed of or commercially laundered; this means they are laundered at a high temperature following the Australian commercial laundry practice standards.
Our therapistswash their hands and arms before and after every treatment using an antiseptic hand washand allcontact surfaces are cleaned with isopropyl alcohol and eucalyptusbetween every appointment.
However, during the the COVID-19 pandemic:
Both client and therapist are required (by law) to wear a mask. You will need to be wearing your mask before you enter the clinic, during your treatment and it is only to be taken off after you leave the clinic. When entering the clinic you will also need to check-in using our QR code, and don't forget to check out when you leave.
There is a 20-30 minute break between each client to ensure the clinic rooms are cleaned, sanitised and aired properly before the next treatment. So it is important that you arrive on time to allow us the time to do this.
All clients who have travelled overseas MUST have quarantined for 14 days before they can make an appointment. It is Australian law to quarantine for 14 days after entry into Australia. This will also be required at certain times when travelling between states. We are asking all clients with any symptoms of any illness to let us know and we will postpone their appointment. If you do show signs of infection when you arrive, we will postpone your treatment on the spot. You will not be able to return to the clinic until you are assessed by a doctor and you are told you are not infectious.
We have limited our reception area to one client and one therapist at a time. So you will only ever see your therapist in the clinic and during your treatment. We have hand sanitiser in each clinic room and also in the reception area for the use of our clients and therapists.
We will ensure self-quarantine of our therapists should any of us show signs of any illness. We apologise for any inconvenience around rescheduling appointments, but we will not hesitate to cancel to ensure the safety of our clients and their families.
We are following Australian Government guidelines closely and will act in accordance with their directives. For more information, or if you’d like to talk to me, please feel free to call the clinic on 0412 911 181
